        Synonyms अर्थात समानार्थी शब्द और Antonyms अर्थात विलोम शब्द हैं. बैंकिंग परीक्षाओं के English section के लिए बहुत important हैं. English  के vocabulary section के अंतर्गत Synonyms और Antonyms आते हैं. बैंकिंग के साथ लगभग सभी बड़े competitive exam में english सेक्शन जरुर होता है. जिसमें इस टॉपिक से भी 2-3 प्रश्न जरूर पूछे जाते हैं. हम इस आर्टिकल की मदद से कुछ important words और उनसे सम्बंधित Antonym और Synonyms दे रहे हैं. उससे पहले, हम यहाँ बताएँगे कि Antonym  और Synonyms क्या होते हैं. 

            क्या है Antonym?

किसी शब्द के अर्थ से विपरीत अर्थ प्रकट करने वाले शब्दों को विलोम शब्द या Antonym कहते हैं. जैसे हिंदी में अच्छा का विलोम बुरा है ऐसे ही english में Good का Antonym Bad है. ऐसे ही Day  का opposite Night है. Antonym शब्द की उत्पत्ति greek language से हुई है, जहाँ anti का अर्थ opposite है और onym का अर्थ name से  है. इस प्रकार Antonym शब्द प्रचलित हुआ. 

            क्या है Synonym?

Synonym या पर्यायवाची शब्द से अभिप्राय ऐसे शब्दों से है जो किसी शब्द के समान अर्थ रखते हैं. जैसे   Excited और Eager का लगभग सामान अर्थ है. तो Eager,  Excited का synonym है. synonyms words का आशय exactly अथवा nearly similar होने से है. अगर दोनों का अर्थ लगभग सामान है तो भी यह Synonym हो सकते हैं.
